Rosewood Machine & Tool Measures Up As Top Honda Supplier

​During a ceremony for all of its employees, Rosewood Machine & Tool Company today received the top supplier award today from Honda of America Mfg., Inc. for excellence in the category of Precision Measurement. The Champaign County company was among only eight firms receiving awards out of more than 2,400 businesses that provide Honda plants with supplies and services. Eight suppliers received Honda of America’s Supplier of the Year award based on excellence at providing maintenance, repair and operational (MRO) services in categories ranging from providing electrical and tooling equipment to specialized lubricants, gauges and measuring devices. “Congratulations on winning the Precision Measurement Supplier of the Year Award,” said Mike Wallace, Honda’s manager of MRO Purchasing. “You should be very proud of your accomplishments at providing excellent services and your commitment to innovation, because Honda is recognizing only eight out of its 2,400 MRO suppliers.” Rosewood was among six Suppliers of the Year that are located in Ohio. Through its innovative approach, Tru-Edge was instrumental in developing new regrind technology that allows the Anna Engine Plant to regrind existing “worn out” cutting tools in the plant. In addition to optimizing drilling performance, the new technology is saving hundreds of thousands of dollars per year and reducing costs associated with using new materials.
