On Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 1:00pm Mark Willoughby, Vice president of Purchasing at Honda of America Mfg., presented Shawn Holt, CEO and President at Maryhaven, Inc, the keys to a 2020 Honda CR-V which will specifically help the adolescent program at Maryhaven.

“Honda and our network of more than 700 parts and materials suppliers are committed to supporting organizations that work to improve the communities around us,” said Mark Willoughby, Vice president of Purchasing at Honda of America Mfg. “We donated a Honda CR-V to Maryhaven in partnership with these suppliers. This CR-V will provide mobility to the individuals and families Maryhaven serves.”

Honda of America’s generous donation of a 2020 Honda CR-V will specifically benefit the adolescents who are in residential treatment at Maryhaven’s Alum Creek Location. This is a variable length of stay program serving at risk youth providing residential care to adolescents who have substance use disorders along with mental, emotional, and behavioral problems. The program provides a wide array of treatment services and activities within a secure therapeutic residential setting with secure gender-specific units for up to 35 males and 16 females between 13-18. Most of these children are referred from the Franklin County Children Services and the Juvenile Court Systems. This tremendous donation will provide staff the ability to transport the youth to doctor appointments, court hearings, job interviews, and much more!

Shawn Holt, CEO and President at Maryhaven, Inc. said: “Our patients deal with a multitude of barriers that impedes their road to recovery. This gift of transportation will go a long way to breaking down at least one of the challenges that our patients face each day. We are forever grateful and extend our profound thanks to Honda of America, Mfg.”
